Exploring a collaborative design and construction process with the goal of producing affordable net-zero houses. |
A sustainable future is dependent on rethinking not only how we build houses, but also how those homes perform in the future. A collaborative, integrated design and construction process is one important tool to create smarter homes that maximize the natural resources used to create them in order to improve their long-term energy performance. Close attention to building science and the integration of construction components and mechanical systems are necessary to save time, money and energy. To demonstrate the possibilities and techniques of this way of building and collaborating, G•O Logic will present an overview of their design process and resulting construction methods for their net–zero model home. |
