Conference

People in Maine are becoming more and more aware of the Creative Economy’s potential, and its power to drive the economy of tomorrow. This November we will gather in Rockland and Camden for our first conference, entitled "Juice: Maine's Action Summit," where we will bring people together to define and act on what we must do to realize our potential.

Juice will devote two days of sessions and activities to connecting with each other, deciding on what’s most likely to work, planning next steps – and then taking action to promote the creative economy.

Here are some of the action-oriented questions that Juice participants will tackle:

  • How will we attract and retain creative workers in Maine?

  • How will we grow Maine’s creative industries, both new and traditional?

  • How will we foster innovation?

  • How will we enhance and promote Maine as an arts and culture destination?

  • How will we integrate creativity into education at all levels, from youth to adult?

  • How will we protect and enhance Maine’s natural beauty and environment, in ways that support the growth of the creative economy?

  • How will we ensure our communities are fun, welcoming, and affordable for creative workers?

  • How will we foster tolerance and diversity in our communities?

If you’re interested in playing a key part in finding – and acting on – answers, you should attend.

The program specifics are still being refined, as we gather input from interested people around the state.
